MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A., of Geneva, Switzerland is a privately owned shipping line, founded in 1970, which has rapidly grown from a small conventional ship operator to become one of the leading global shipping lines of the world.

During recent years MSC's maritime fleet has expanded substantially to consolidate its position since Jan-2022 as the LARGEST CONTAINER carrier shipping company in respect of container slot capacity and of the number of container vessels. Company has grown under the leadership of Capt. Gianluigi Aponte with spectacular growth and has achieved many milestones. MSC has evolved from a one vessel operation into a globally-respected business with a fleet of 730 vessels and more than 150,000 staff. Having carrying capacity of 23 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) annually, via a modern fleet, equipped with the latest green technologies.

MSC Crewing Services Pvt. Ltd., India is involved in manning and training of qualified personnel for the ships managed by MSC Shipmanagement Ltd. (Cyprus) and operated by Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A., Geneva.

We have our head office in Mumbai and our field offices in major Indian cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi and Patna. We are involved in Crew Management from these offices for around 274 ships at the moment.

Our Recruitment Policy

The Company will maintain, with due regard to the right of privacy and the need to protect confidentiality, full and complete records/data of the seafarers employed. Procedure followed while dealing with cases of incompetence or indiscipline are consistent with the principles of natural justice, the law of the land and practice with the applicable CBA. Death compensation or disability competence are paid without undue delay.
