MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A., of Geneva, Switzerland is a privately owned shipping line, founded in 1970, which has rapidly grown from a small conventional ship operator to become one of the leading global shipping lines of the world.

During recent years MSC's maritime fleet has expanded substantially to consolidate its position since Mar 2024 as the LARGEST CONTAINER carrier shipping company in respect of container slot capacity and of the number of container vessels. Company has grown under the leadership of Capt. Gianluigi Aponte with spectacular growth and has achieved many milestones. MSC has evolved from a one vessel operation into a globally-respected business with a fleet of 800 vessels and more than 200,000 staff. Having carrying capacity of 23 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) annually, via a modern fleet, equipped with the latest green technologies.

MSC Crewing Services Pvt. Ltd., India is involved in manning and training of qualified personnel for the ships managed by MSC Shipmanagement Ltd. (Cyprus) and operated by Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A., Geneva.

We have our head office in Mumbai and our field offices in major Indian cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi and Patna. We are involved in Crew Management from these offices for around 320 ships at the moment.

In 2022 MSC has won NMDC Award from Govt. Of India for - Best Foreign Employer of Indian Seafarers – 2022 additionally MSC has won the Samudra Manthan Ship-owners Manning Company of the Year award – 2022 on 11th Nov 2022.

In the year 2023, MSC was further awarded with Prestigious Shipping Awards - NMDC/DG Shipping "Best Foreign Employer of Indian Seafarers"- 2023, Prestigious Award from Government of India for “Research Training & Skill Development in India” - 2023, Samudra Manthan Best Manning Company of the Year 2023.

Our Recruitment Policy

The Aim of this Policy is to Ensure that the Recruitment, Selection, Training and Promotion of its Floating Staff is based solely on the Criteria of Merit, Ability and Availability. No Job Applicant or Employee will Receive Less Favorable Treatment on the Grounds of Race, Colour, Ethnic Origin, Age, and Marital Status or on the basis of any Inducements Received. No Fees or Other Charges for Recruitment or for Providing Employment to Seafarers are Borne Directly or Indirectly in Whole or in Part by the Seafarer for the Purpose of Recruitment. Any incident or causality on board causing injury (excluding minor injuries) or death, disappearance, loss overboard or homicide by or of an Indian national is reported to Director General as per Regulations. The Company will maintain, with due regard to the right of privacy and the need to protect confidentiality, full and complete records/data of the seafarers employed. Procedure followed while dealing with cases of incompetence or indiscipline are consistent with the principles of natural justice, the law of the land and practice with the applicable CBA. Death compensation or disability competence are paid without undue delay.
